About the position

The position involves highly skilled work in the instrumentation and electrical craft, focusing on the removal, repair, installation, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of process instrumentation and electrical systems. The role requires minimal supervision and emphasizes safe production practices. Employees may also mentor or train other technicians, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and participation in safety and environmental activities.

Responsibilities

• Removal, repair, installation, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of process instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Mentoring or training other instrumentation/electrical employees.
• Performing routine and non-routine calibrations and repairs safely.
• Conducting preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of pneumatic instruments, control valves, and various types of instrumentation.
• Maintaining strong knowledge in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controllers and electrical testing.
• Performing installations and renovations compliant with regulatory agency standards.
• Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work area instructions.
• Participating in safety and environmental activities.

Requirements

• Completion of an approved certified program for instrumentation/control system, electronics, & electrical; OR a minimum of four (4) years experience in industrial instrumentation/electrical repair and maintenance; OR an Associates degree or Trade School Certification in the related field and two (2) years experience performing maintenance and repair of industrial automation, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge and skills, passing a written assessment where required.
