Position Overview: As Principal Instrumentation and Controls Designer, you will design, develop, and analyze control systems, instrumentation, and related equipment. Your expertise will be essential in designing components and terminations for complete instrumentation interconnect wiring diagrams, ensuring proper connectivity and functionality. Your main objective will be to create detailed designs, plans, and specifications for the construction and installation of new systems, as well as the modification and upgrade of existing ones while working closely with a team of engineers and project managers. This will involve coordinating with the design team to ensure all aspects of the project are addressed, and that the final designs are accurate and in compliance with industry standards and regulations. Responsibilities: · Provides computer aided design (CAD) drafting, prepares drawings and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, vendor data, and sketches · Coordinates and consults with engineers or other designers to complete projects, ensuring adherence to established specifications and standards · Support equipment sizing & selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables · Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities · Present design deliverables to project members, cross-functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders · Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress to support project reporting and schedule requirements · Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule · Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature · Prepares, reviews, and approves instrumentation equipment, conduit, and wiring BOMs and designs · Prepares, reviews, and approves HMI layout and Network Architecture Diagrams Education/Licenses/Certifications/Skills: · 4-7 Years experience · Bachelor's or Associate's degree or equivalent preferred · Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills - written and verbal · High level of personal integrity · Strong relationship capabilities · Proficient in both written and spoken English Equal Opportunity Employer: All qualified candidates will receive consideration for all positions without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, disability, genetic information, or other non-merit factors.
