About the position

The Instrumentation Electrical Capital Projects Engineer is responsible for driving project implementation within the Petrochemical Manufacturing Industry. This role focuses on improving the site's instrumentation and electrical assets through effective project management and engineering support. The engineer will lead project teams, develop scopes of work, and ensure successful project execution in terms of cost, timing, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide design engineering support for projects.
• Develop scope of work details for instrument and electrical discipline.
• Serve as a Project Team Leader if required and ensure project success in terms of cost, timing, and quality.
• Provide Instrument/Electrical expertise to the plant as required.
• Assist with start-up for new installations as needed.
• Participate in Design Hazard Reviews.
• Perform equipment design calculations and provide specifications for new instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Determine drafting resource requirements and request resources when necessary.
• Develop spare parts list for new instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Conduct project meetings as required.
• Accountable for project implementation, including field inspection, problem solving, and coordination.
• Work collaboratively with team members from diverse backgrounds.
• Assist other employees in achieving company goals and follow supervisor instructions.
• Participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives and complete required training programs.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in I&E Project Engineering.
• Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC Card.
• Proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office programs.
