As the Instrumentation Engineer, Performance Analytics, you will specialize in the design, development, and optimization of wind energy systems. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure high availability and high-quality data collection from wind meteorological towers, Lidars, and Pyranometers. You will collaborate with on-site personnel to perform regular testing, calibration, maintenance, and repair of the instrumentation, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations. This role is crucial in driving the development of advanced automated data monitoring solutions and spearheading key research and development initiatives. In this position, you will provide instrument recommendations for data collection to quantify losses and improve data collection, cleaning, and quality control specifications. You will also work closely with other data scientists and analysts to develop best practices for analytics teams. Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to instrumentation and control systems will be a key part of your role, along with providing technical support and guidance to field staff. You will be responsible for preparing and updating drawings, diagrams, manuals, and records of the instrumentation and control systems, ensuring proper documentation and archiving. Additionally, you will conduct research and analysis on the latest technologies and trends in instrumentation and control, recommending improvements and upgrades to existing systems. Effective coordination, collaboration, and communication with cross-functional teams, including engineering, technicians, operators, and contractors, will be essential to ensure effective teamwork and collaboration in the instrumentation and control systems.
