About the position

The Instrumentation Engineer will work on infrastructure and development projects, focusing on geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring. This role involves collaborating with Project Managers to develop work plans, manage instrument installations, and create monitoring reports, while also providing technical assistance to clients.

Responsibilities

• Travel to oversee, assist, and perform installation of geotechnical instrumentation monitoring systems.
• Program, maintain, and troubleshoot geotechnical instrumentation equipment.
• Manage data acquisition, communications, and performance of monitoring systems.
• Prepare field reports and track installation information, providing reports to the Project Manager.
• Prepare monitoring reporting, take-offs, and proposals.
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to clients as needed.
• Work with multiple clients, contracts, and projects simultaneously.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Interact and communicate with clients, vendors, and staff at all levels.

Requirements

• 1 - 3 years of experience as an Instrumentation Engineer.
• Experience with instrumentation & monitoring equipment and with radio and cellular communication systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint software.
• Prior construction field experience required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with client representatives.
• Basic computer programming and data management skills.
• AS or BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Surveying, or Geological Engineering.
• Valid Driver's license.
