About the position

Alkermes is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Engineer to join their Waltham facility. The primary responsibility of this role is to plan, install, monitor, and maintain instrumentation and process equipment within a newly built Clinical Oral Solid Dose manufacturing suite. The goal is to ensure that control machinery and process equipment operate efficiently, safely, and reliably to maximize productivity.

Responsibilities

• Plan and install instrumentation and process equipment.
• Monitor and maintain instrumentation systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Optimize the performance of control machinery and process equipment.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to support manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in instrumentation and process control systems.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in manufacturing environments.
