About the position

The Instrumentation Program Engineer (IPE) is a project management role within GE Aviation, responsible for managing instrumentation requirements for military and commercial engines during Development Assembly and Component Testing. This position involves daily collaboration with various engineering and project personnel to ensure the integrity, safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness of engine development projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage instrumentation requirements for military and commercial engines.
  • Oversee cost and schedule on engines and additional information requested through a Test Project Sheet (TPS).
  • Interface daily with Instrumentation, Design, Systems, Assembly, Engineering, Evaluation, Test, Tooling, and Project Personnel, as well as the hourly workforce.
  • Engage in activities to assist in scheduling and executing development engines, focusing on integrity, safety, quality, delivery, and overall cost initiatives.
  • Utilize software tools such as IDS, IWS, eTPS, Open Plan, Digital Thread, Intelligence, Digital Workbench, and various access databases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Process and Equipment.
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain clearance.
