About the position

The Instrumentation Technician I position at Pfizer involves supporting the Technical Operations team by performing calibrations, troubleshooting, and maintaining process and analytical instrumentation. The role is crucial for ensuring the continuous operation of the Sanford facility, contributing to manufacturing, utilities, and quality control. The technician will apply their knowledge to improve efficiency and quality in various work situations, ultimately aiding Pfizer in achieving its goals to help patients globally.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibrations on process and analytical instrumentation in support of the continuous operation of the Sanford facility.
  • Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and related equipment/systems.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment and related instrumentation.
  • Document all work order activities in EAMS and relevant equipment logs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve calibration/instrumentation issues in a timely manner utilizing DMAIC techniques.
  • Read and follow equipment schematics, logic diagrams and engineering drawings.
  • Support engineering projects to select and install appropriate instrumentation.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent with at least 1+ year of experience working with instrumentation and calibration in a GxP environment or an AAS degree.
