About the position
The Insulator Helper assists the Journeyman Insulator with various duties related to insulation of mechanical/industrial applications. The incumbent is responsible for staging and managing materials, job site cleanup, insulation of piping, vessels, tanks and architectural type metals and flashing.
Responsibilities
- Measure and cut insulation for covering surfaces using hand and power tools
- Prepares surfaces for insulation
- Assists with the insulating, covering, wrapping, stapling, gluing, and fitting insulating materials
- Assists with the completion of insulation using plastic covers, sealants, tape, cement and metals
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
- One (1) year Insulating experience
- OSHA 10, or ability to obtain upon hire
- H2S, or ability to obtain upon hire
- Take and pass a pre-employment drug test
