The Insurance Accountant position at ARC Strategic Services is a part-time, contract role focused on providing high-expertise insurance accounting, reporting, and compliance services. The role requires a deep understanding of statutory accounting principles and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the insurance industry and will be responsible for guiding senior accountants while maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide insurance accounting, reporting, and compliance services to clients.
- Assist in all aspects of insurance accounting and finance tasks.
- Lead meetings with high-level executives and explain complex topics to functional staff.
- Nurture professional relationships and create behavioral standards within the team.
- Resolve conflicts and foster a cohesive team environment.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in insurance accounting.
- 4 years of experience in statutory insurance accounting.
- 3 years of experience as an Insurance Controller (preferred).
- Valid CPA license.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working on both the industry and regulatory side of the insurance industry.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
