This role is designed for those who have significant experience in the insurance sector and are looking to maintain their professional engagement without the stress of a traditional office environment. As an Insurance Agency Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in supporting our retail broker, wholesale broker, or MGA clients. Your responsibilities will include managing the General Ledger, which encompasses Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Commission Payable. You will prepare monthly management reports and commission payable reports, as well as reconcile carrier commission statements. Additionally, you will resolve any accounting discrepancies with insurance carriers and/or producers, and prepare both monthly and annual financial statements. Maintaining the budget using Excel and an Agency Management system will also be part of your duties. We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience with agency management systems such as EPIC, AMS360, or Sagitta.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.

Requirements

  • 25 years of full-time work experience in the insurance industry.
  • 10 years of premium accounting experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using agency management systems such as EPIC, AMS360, or Sagitta.
