About the position

We are looking for a Sales Agent to join our team in our Lake Oswego, OR office. Success in this role will require a strong local network and in-person relationship building in the community. This is not a remote position. As a Comparion Insurance sales agent, you'll have the flexibility to develop a lucrative career by providing customers with Auto, Home, and Life insurance products from a variety of carriers. This position offers unlimited income potential through a combination of base salary, bonuses, and uncapped commissions. Comparion Insurance Agents enjoy paid training, mentorships, and sales support, allowing them to earn commissions for leads even if other team members close the deals. Comprehensive benefits are provided from Day 1, including health and dental insurance, 401K, company-paid pension, paid time off, and flexible work arrangements to help maintain a balance between personal and professional life. The total average first-year earnings range from $65K to $85K, with potential for top performers to earn over $150K. This position is eligible for the field sales compensation plan, which reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market. Responsibilities

  • Prospecting for new customers and generating leads.

Requirements

  • Previous employment in a sales representative role with a successful track record of turning prospects into customers.
  • A state insurance license or willingness to earn one with training and support in Property & Casualty, and Life.
  • Effective written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
  • Well-developed persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Great interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build rapport with prospective and existing customers.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn insurance coverage and underwriting guidelines.
  • Familiarity with finding, building, and growing leads and customer base.
