About the position

We are looking for a Sales Agent to join our team in our Oregon office. Success in this role will require a strong local network and in-person relationship building in the community. This is not a remote position. As a Comparion Insurance sales agent, you'll have the flexibility to develop a lucrative career by providing customers with Auto, Home, and Life insurance products from a variety of carriers. Comparion Insurance Agents enjoy uncapped pay including base salary, bonuses, prizes, and recognition that includes worldwide travel. The total average first-year earnings range from $65K to $85K through a combination of base, bonus, and uncapped commission, with the potential for top performers to earn over $150K. This position is eligible for the field sales compensation plan. We provide paid training (including licensing) and mentorships for employees who want to pursue their career goals. Sales support is also available, allowing agents to earn commissions for leads even if other team members close the deals. Responsibilities

  • Prospecting for new customers and generating leads.
  • Building strong relationships within local communities and organizations.
  • Demonstrating resiliency and applying an enthusiastic work ethic to close deals.
  • Tailoring products and services to meet existing customers' needs.
  • Participating in paid training and mentorship programs to enhance sales skills.

Requirements

  • Previous employment in a sales representative role with a proven track record of turning prospects into customers.
  • A state insurance license or willingness to earn one with training and support in Property & Casualty, and Life.
  • Effective written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
  • Well-developed persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Great interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build rapport with prospective and existing customers.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn insurance coverage and underwriting guidelines.
  • Familiarity with finding, building, and growing leads and customer base.

  • Experience in the insurance industry.
  • Advanced sales techniques or certifications.
