About the position

We are looking for a Sales Agent to join our team in our Meridian, ID office. This position is not remote and requires a strong local network and in-person relationship building within the community. As a Comparion Insurance sales agent, you will have the opportunity to develop a lucrative career by providing customers with Auto, Home, and Life insurance products from a variety of carriers. The role offers uncapped pay, including a base salary, bonuses, prizes, and recognition that includes worldwide travel. You will receive paid training, including licensing, and mentorships to help you pursue your career goals. Additionally, you will have sales support, earning commissions for leads even if other team members close the deals. The typical starting salary range for this role is between $65,000 and $85,000 a year, with the potential for top performers to earn over $150,000. This position is eligible for the field sales compensation plan, which reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market. Success in this role will require a highly driven and performing salesperson who enjoys prospecting for new customers and demonstrating resiliency. You will need to build strong relationships within local communities and organizations while maintaining open lines of communication for future sales opportunities. Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new customers and generate leads.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within local communities and organizations.
  • Tailor products and services to meet existing customers' needs.
  • Demonstrate effective negotiation and persuasion skills to close deals.
  • Participate in paid training and mentorship programs to enhance sales skills.
  • Utilize sales support to earn commissions for leads.
  • Maintain open lines of communication for future sales opportunities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous employment in a sales representative role with a proven track record of turning prospects into customers.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Well-developed persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to earn a state insurance license in Property & Casualty and Life.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the insurance industry.
  • Familiarity with insurance coverage and underwriting guidelines.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new information.
