About the position

We are looking for a Sales Agent to join our team in our Arlington Heights office. This position is not remote and requires a strong local network and in-person relationship building within the community. As a Comparion Insurance sales agent, you will have the opportunity to develop a lucrative career by providing customers with Auto, Home, and Life insurance products from a variety of carriers. This role offers unlimited income potential through a combination of base salary, bonuses, and uncapped commissions. The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by various factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. The total average first-year earnings range from $65K to $85K, with top performers potentially earning over $150K. You will also receive paid training, including licensing, and mentorships to help you pursue your career goals. Sales support is provided, allowing you to earn commissions for leads even if other team members close the deals. Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new customers and generate leads.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within local communities and organizations.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and negotiation skills to close deals.
  • Provide customers with Auto, Home, and Life insurance products from various carriers.
  • Participate in paid training and mentorship programs to enhance sales skills.
  • Utilize sales support to earn commissions for leads even if other team members close the deals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous employment in a sales representative role with a proven track record of turning prospects into customers.
  • Willingness to earn a state insurance license in Property & Casualty and Life with training and support.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Well-developed persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in underwriting or sales.
  • Familiarity with insurance coverage and underwriting guidelines.
  • Knowledge of lead generation and customer base growth strategies.
