About the position

JGP Insurance Group is seeking a highly motivated Insurance Agent to join their team in a hybrid remote capacity. This role involves selling multiple lines of insurance, managing client accounts, and providing excellent customer service. The position offers a competitive commission structure and opportunities for professional growth through comprehensive training and licensing assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop insurance quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales.
  • Establish client relationships and follow up with clients as needed.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly client support, including responding to inquiries.
  • Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each day.
  • Develop new financial service opportunities with both existing and new clients.
  • Participate in community involvement and weekly business networking opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in sales and business development preferred.
  • Hold a state insurance license or be willing to obtain one within an agreed timeframe.
  • At least 1 year of sales or client-facing experience preferred.
  • Life & Health insurance license is a plus, must eventually be able to obtain.
  • Proven track record of trustworthiness, dependability, and ethical behavior.
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and listening.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Motivated and determined with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Comfortable with internet-based programs and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales and business development preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
