About the position

We are looking for a Sales Agent to join our team in our Oregon office. This position is not remote and requires a strong local network and in-person relationship building within the community. As a Comparion Insurance sales agent, you will have the flexibility to develop a lucrative career by providing customers with Auto, Home, and Life insurance products from a variety of carriers. Success in this role will require a highly driven and performing salesperson who enjoys prospecting for new customers, demonstrating resiliency, and applying an enthusiastic work ethic to generate leads and close deals. In this role, you will have the opportunity for unlimited income and top-notch recognition, with total average first-year earnings ranging from $65K to $85K through a combination of base salary, bonuses, and uncapped commission. Top performers have the potential to earn over $150K. You will also receive paid training (including licensing) and mentorships to help you pursue your career goals. Additionally, you will earn commissions for leads even if other team members close the deals. Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new customers and generate leads.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within local communities and organizations.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and presentation skills to prospective clients.
  • Tailor products and services to meet existing customers' needs.
  • Participate in paid training and mentorship programs to enhance sales skills.
  • Earn commissions for leads even if other team members close the deals.

Requirements

  • Previous employment in a sales representative role with a proven track record of turning prospects into customers.
  • A state insurance license or willingness to earn one with training and support in Property & Casualty, and Life insurance.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Well-developed persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Great interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn insurance coverage and underwriting guidelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the insurance industry.
  • Familiarity with finding, building, and growing leads and customer base.
