Responsibilities

• Request initial and reauthorization from insurance companies following their individual guidelines for authorization submission.
• Receive, review, and log requests for medical records audits or billing requests from various sources.
• Cross-train to act as backup to others in the office as needed.
• Handle miscellaneous projects and duties as the industry evolves.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of ICD coding and ICD-10.
• Experience with EHR and EMR systems.
• Familiarity with insurance verification processes.
