About the position

The Insurance Client Service Specialist at Tamar Fink is responsible for enhancing the firm's proactive Client Service Model by servicing important client relationships and identifying potential business opportunities. This role requires a proactive approach to client services, effective communication, and a focus on detail-oriented tasks to ensure exceptional service and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for incoming client calls & emails
  • Assist with requests, issues, changes, or general questions on existing policies
  • Proactively inform clients about policy changes, problems, renewals, or cancellations
  • Provide exceptional service, accurate information, and diligent follow-through
  • Conduct annual reviews on our active book of business monthly; set meetings and follow-up calls as needed
  • Assist families with death benefit claims in a professional and caring manner
  • Understand and run basic life insurance sales illustrations from various life insurance carriers
  • Assess policy performance relative to expected plan by reviewing and analyzing in-force illustrations
  • Evaluate current book of business for new opportunities
  • Identify possible leads from either under-performing policies or clients' changing needs
  • Facilitate Policy Conversion and Life Settlement transactions occasionally
  • Assist producers in preparing meeting materials

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in the financial or life insurance industry
  • Ability to learn, understand and explain life insurance products, concepts, and details
  • Friendly and engaging personality
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, industry professionals
  • Prompt and dependable attendance
  • Highly organized
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Proactive; takes initiative to learn and apply new skills, is not afraid to ask questions or seek guidance
  • Ability to use Microsoft, Outlook, Word, and Excel with little training
  • Learn and navigate our internal CRM system - Smart Office
  • Life & Accident & Health insurance license required - can be obtained during employment
