About the position

We're thrilled that you are interested in joining us here at the Amynta Group! We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Insurance Operations Specialist to join our team. The Insurance Operations Specialist provides administrative and coordination support to the Operations Manager to ensure timely completion of various projects. AmCom, a prominent program of Amynta Group, provides a comprehensive range of top-tier property, casualty, and specialty products for Agents across various industry verticals. As our team continues to expand, we are seeking individuals with either prior insurance experience or a strong dedication to creating an exceptional customer experience. In this role, you will become a power user of our online policy management platforms to deliver creative solutions and new operational procedures. You will develop and improve procedures and processes within the underwriting operations workflow. Collaborating with underwriting leadership, you will optimize workflows and underwriting systems, with the aim of improving the lives of our teammates and customers. You will manage the underwriting technology platform and rating tools while creating a collaborative, supportive, and high-performing culture. Maintaining alignment and support through communication, you will encourage the sharing of information and continually seek ways to improve. Additionally, you will participate and lead broader organizational projects and initiatives, representing the needs of AmCom and Amynta. Evaluating potential problems and technical hitches, you will develop solutions to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and coordination support to the Operations Manager.
  • Become a power user of online policy management platforms to deliver creative solutions and new operational procedures.
  • Develop and improve procedures and processes within the underwriting operations workflow.
  • Collaborate with underwriting leadership to optimize workflows and underwriting systems.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of direct, commercial Property & Casualty experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related experience.
  • Insurance systems, underwriting or operations experience with an understanding of commercial package insurance.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Critical thinker with the ability to bring together multiple solutions in a collaborative and cohesive way.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to identify and resolve project issues.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, negotiating and planning skills.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
