About the position

Mountain West Farm Bureau Insurance is seeking a full-time Insurance Product Analyst II to join our team in Laramie, WY. This role is pivotal in researching and reporting on industry changes, trends, and best practices. The Insurance Product Analyst II will lead project teams focused on rate changes, form updates, filings, and product changes, ensuring compliance with insurance department regulations. The position requires a thorough understanding of the insurance landscape and the ability to analyze data to inform decision-making processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for filing and reporting to the insurance department, which is a critical function in maintaining our operational integrity and compliance with state regulations. This full-time position typically involves a 40-hour work week, operating from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. While the primary location is at our home office in Laramie, WY, we are open to considering remote work arrangements for candidates located in Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, Texas, Utah, Idaho, and New Mexico. The salary for this position ranges from $5,116 to $5,585 per month, depending on the candidate's experience. We do not sponsor H-1B visas, so applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Responsibilities

  • Research and report on industry changes, trends, and best practices.
  • Lead project teams related to rate changes, form updates, filings, and product changes.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance department filing and reporting requirements.
  • Analyze data to inform decision-making processes regarding product offerings and changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new or modified policy language.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Three years' experience in property and casualty insurance.
  • Completion of an ethics course and possession of an Associate in General Insurance (AINS) designation (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite or similar software.
  • Proficient knowledge of SERFF (electronic regulatory filing system).
  • Experience implementing new or modified policy language.
  • Experience with ISO based language.

Nice-to-haves

  • Five years' experience in property and casualty insurance underwriting or claims.
  • Experience with farm and ranch or commercial insurance.
  • Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
  • Experience with relevant federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Experience with researching rate and form filings.
  • Familiarity with Guidewire Insurance Suite.
