We are actively hiring for an Insurance Product Manager - Property Strategy & Development - Remote. Join us and support CSAA IG in achieving our goals. As an Insurance Product Manager of Property Strategy & Development, you will manage product development and pricing for existing or new insurance products. You will cross-functionally direct new product design and development, underwriting strategy and execution, catastrophe management, policy contracts and forms, system enhancements and regulatory changes, competitive insights, pricing segmentation, sales and marketing strategies, and overall project management. You will be responsible for the seamless market execution and profitable growth of our countrywide products. In this role, you will provide thought leadership on complex or strategic product development efforts with high value or high potential products and lead associated projects. You will develop methodology and initiate changes to policies and guidelines which may affect budgets, workforce needs, profitability, and policy/premium growth. You will also develop new products based on knowledge of products, consumers, and competition, partnering with Marketing, Sales, Legal, and State Product Management where appropriate. Additionally, you will monitor product performance by mix including metrics such as quotes, close ratios, retention, loss ratios, etc., and develop solutions to address any opportunities. You will partner with Analytics teams to develop reporting and conduct analysis, and with Actuarial to develop and execute pricing model refreshes, approving pricing structure and changes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage product development and pricing for existing or new insurance products.
  • Direct new product design and development, underwriting strategy and execution, and catastrophe management.
  • Oversee policy contracts and forms, system enhancements, and regulatory changes.
  • Conduct competitive insights, pricing segmentation, sales and marketing strategies, and overall project management.
  • Provide thought leadership on complex or strategic product development efforts.
  • Develop methodology and initiate changes to policies and guidelines affecting budgets and profitability.
  • Develop new products based on knowledge of products, consumers, and competition.
  • Monitor product performance and develop solutions to address opportunities.
  • Partner with Analytics teams to develop reporting and conduct analysis.
  • Partner with Actuarial to develop and execute pricing model refreshes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related area (Marketing, business, or a related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of increasingly responsible product management experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of product and project management, product profitability, sales and strategic planning.
  • Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills.
  • Ability and skills to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in product analysis, principles, and methods.
  • Business and technical writing skills (e.g., proposals, PowerPoint presentation, business requirements, Microsoft project, Suite Microsoft Office).
  • Project Management techniques and processes experience.
  • Highly skilled negotiator.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Understanding of business systems and processes and how they link together.
  • Ability to create prototypes or workflows to enable gathering rich feedback from business stakeholders.
  • Experience developing business requirements that contemplate all policy lifecycles (quote, bind, renew, etc.).
