About the position

The position involves managing risk and insurance processes at Iron Mountain, focusing on onboarding vendors, processing invoices, and handling claims management. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with insurance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard new vendors
  • Review and process invoices/AP
  • Answer inquiries from vendors/brokers regarding their payments
  • Facilitate Enterprise Risk Management System (ERMS) and Claims Management
  • Respond to employee inquiries and resolve issues regarding user access, email notifications, reports, and claim generation
  • Review and process data updates for carriers
  • Track claim expenses, payments and deductible exhaustion
  • Review and investigate details, compile documentation, determine liability/valuation, discuss strategy with outside counsel, business and TPA
  • Communicate with insurer re claim management
  • Update accounting/finance team re major claims
  • Work with location stakeholders to assess the extent of damage/losses and cost estimates
  • Manage incoming Certificates of Insurance (COI) requests
  • Review Indemnity Agreement/Hold Harmless documents
  • Review and edit indemnity/insurance terms to mitigate risk exposure to acceptable Iron Mountain standards
  • Communicate with business leaders on the risk exposure and their approval for sign-off
  • Work with brokers as needed on COI requests
  • Review insurance requirements, issue modifications of non-standard COIs per Iron Mountain's insurance standards
  • Review Digital Mailbox for incoming scanned mail - forward to respective shared mailboxes for proper handling
  • Gather the payroll report and supporting tax documentation for Annual Payroll Audit submission.

Requirements

  • A BA/BS degree, preferably in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or Accounting
  • Highly organized with excellent project management skills and budget management
  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in Risk Management, commercial insurance, or brokerage company
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance coverage with claims management experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of personnel and external clients.
