Insurance Sales Agent

About the position

The Insurance Sales Agent position is a remote contract role focused on identifying and qualifying prospective clients for insurance policies. The agent will explain policy features and benefits, recommend coverage based on client needs, and maintain sales targets. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to build customer relationships while managing administrative tasks related to sales and policy servicing.

Responsibilities

• Identify, contact, and qualify prospective clients.
• Explain features and benefits of policies offered.
• Recommend amount and type of coverage based on needs analysis.
• Calculate and quote premium rates for recommended policies.
• Maintain weekly APP log.
• Submit weekly sales and collections report.
• Collect premiums from policyholders.
• Perform two bank deposits per week and keep records of them.
• Deliver new policies and return signed policyholder receipts to the office.
• Provide policyholders with forms needed to file an insurance claim in the event of a loss.
• Deliver benefit checks to policyholders and return signed policyholder receipts to the office.
• Service policyholders by explaining policies and suggesting changes in coverage.
• Visit established clients for a preferred policyholder review every 6 months.
• Seek out new clients through networking and generate lists of prospective clients.
• Dress professionally when representing the Company.
• Build and promote strong customer-centric relationships.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• State-required automobile insurance.
• Ability to drive an automobile.
• Ability to obtain a limited life health and accident license in Louisiana.
• Ability to obtain a full life and health license within 90 days of contracting.
• Sales experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and problem-solving attitude.
• Excellent communication skills.
