About the position

The Direct Insurance Sales Representative at Summit Business Group is responsible for managing their own schedule and driving sales success by connecting with business owners and decision-makers. This role involves showcasing insurance solutions, maintaining client relationships, and providing support during the claims process. The representative will utilize Salesforce CRM for client engagement and is expected to conduct training cycles, both in-person and online, while working in an assigned sales territory.

Responsibilities

  • Manage your own schedule and drive sales success.
  • Connect with business owners and key decision-makers to understand their needs.
  • Showcase superior insurance solutions to clients.
  • Engage potential clients through cold calls and in-person visits using Salesforce CRM.
  • Close deals and become a trusted advisor for clients.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and support during the claims process.
  • Respond to general emails and phone calls from clients.
  • Set follow-up appointments with prospective and current clients.
  • Call on new businesses, referrals, and existing clients for servicing.
  • Develop relationships with local business owners in your territory.
  • Submit daily sales metrics and activity reports.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales or customer-facing roles, especially in outside sales.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive training cycles, both in-person and online.
  • Superior organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • A passion for empowering clients and a strong sense of responsibility for their well-being.
  • Health & Life general lines license, or the drive to obtain it within 90 days.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years of professional work experience.
  • Candidates within 6 months or less of degree completion will be considered.
