About the position

The Insurance Sales Support Representative plays a crucial role in supporting a top-performing agent by providing exceptional customer service and marketing support to policyholders. This entry-level position involves maintaining and growing the customer base through effective sales strategies and underwriting functions, while also ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to policyholders, including reviewing existing accounts, processing rewrites and updates, and promoting new business opportunities.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maintain and grow the customer base.
• Perform underwriting functions, interpreting policy coverage and provisions, and advising clients on policy options.
• Schedule appointments and maintain a referral and expiration date system to drive new business sales.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Provide office support and member service as needed, including assisting with personnel shortages and peak periods of activity.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, customer service, and analytical skills.
• Ability to obtain NC Property & Casualty insurance licenses within 45-60 days of hire.
• Willingness to attend required training schools and complete pre-licensing courses.
