About the position
The Insurance Specialist at Best Choice Roofing is responsible for managing and progressing roofing insurance claims, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience for homeowners. This role involves direct communication with clients and insurance companies, requiring strong organizational and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Reach out to homeowners to gather necessary information and provide updates on the status of their insurance claims.
- Work with insurance adjusters, agents, and company representatives to ensure timely progress of claims and proper documentation.
- Track and document all claim-related correspondence and paperwork, ensuring all deadlines are met and that the claim process flows smoothly.
- Act as the liaison between the homeowner, insurance company, and our roofing team to resolve any issues or concerns that may arise during the claims process.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of claims, including photos, estimates, and communication logs.
- Provide excellent service by answering questions, explaining procedures, and offering support throughout the claims process.
- Work closely with our sales, roofing, and administrative teams to ensure claims are handled efficiently and accurately.
Requirements
- Previous experience in insurance claims or customer service is preferred (preferably in the roofing or construction industry).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Proficient in using computers and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, CRM software).
- Problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of roofing or insurance claims processes is a plus but not required.
