About the position

TOTAL QUALITY INSURANCE is seeking a dynamic and motivated Insurance Territory Sales Representative to join our team in Charleston, SC. As a pivotal member of our sales force, you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding our network of referral partners, fostering strong relationships, and driving growth within your assigned territory. This role is essential for the success of our business, as you will act as the primary point of contact for referral partners, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively. In this position, you will engage in business development by identifying and pursuing opportunities to expand the network of referral partners within your territory. You will develop and implement strategies to grow these relationships, aiming to increase both the volume and quality of referrals. Networking and outreach are key components of this role, as you will proactively engage in activities within the local community and industry events to build brand awareness and establish new connections. Sales and revenue generation will be a significant part of your responsibilities, as you will collaborate with internal sales teams to convert referrals into sales opportunities, ensuring a seamless handoff and exceptional customer experience. You will be expected to meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs related to referral partner engagement and revenue generation. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline development, and referral partner interactions using CRM software, analyzing performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and nurture existing relationships with referral partners such as brokers, agents, financial advisors, and other influencers in the insurance industry.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for referral partners, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the network of referral partners within the territory.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow referral partner relationships, aiming to increase the volume and quality of referrals.
  • Engage in networking activities within the local community and industry events to build brand awareness and establish new connections.
  • Represent the company professionally and effectively communicate our value proposition to potential referral partners.
  • Collaborate with internal sales teams to convert referrals into sales opportunities, ensuring seamless handoff and exceptional customer experience.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs related to referral partner engagement and revenue generation.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline development, and referral partner interactions using CRM software.
  • Analyze performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in insurance sales, business development, or a similar role within the financial services industry.
  • Strong networking abilities with a demonstrated track record of building and maintaining successful relationships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
