About the position
The Insurance Underwriter for Pollution Risks is responsible for underwriting new and renewal business related to environmental pollution liabilities. This role involves assessing various risks associated with environmental incidents, collaborating with agents and brokers, and making decisions on coverage lines. The position offers the flexibility of remote work while being part of a specialty insurance provider.
Responsibilities
- Accept, modify, or decline risks.
- Underwrite Environmental risks for coverage lines including General Liability, Contractors Pollution Liability, Professional Liability, Premises Pollution Liability, and Excess Liability.
- Oversee and approve endorsements.
- Collaborate with general agents/brokers to obtain further information, quote rates, or explain underwriting guidelines.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Underwriting experience with authority in Environmental, Casualty Excess and Surplus lines, or similar.
- Bachelor's Degree.
