About the position
As an Insurance Underwriter at Assurant, you will be a key member of the Homeowners (HO3) team, responsible for addressing customer inquiries and issues through inbound calls. Your role will focus on creating a seamless experience for customers, assisting them in purchasing, upgrading, and retaining insurance products while effectively communicating the value of these products. An active P&C license is required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Respond to questions concerning customer benefits and resolve product inquiries.
- Document necessary account information and offer custom solutions that benefit the customer and Assurant.
- Identify areas of sales opportunity to solicit company programs on calls.
- Deliver results measured by customer satisfaction, efficiency, quality, retention, and sales metrics.
Requirements
- Active P&C license
- Experience in MS Office, i.e., Outlook, Word, and Excel
- A minimum of 1 year of inbound call center experience.
Nice-to-haves
- A college degree is desired
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume team-based environment
- Must have excellent listening skills and verbal communication skills
- Capable interpersonal skills with a collaborative team approach.
