About the position
The Insurance Underwriter for Educational Organizations is responsible for overseeing the creation, development, launch, and management of a new Casualty Insurance Program tailored for schools, universities, learning centers, and tutoring services. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product development and underwriting, particularly in the educational sector.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation and development of a new Educational Organization Casualty Insurance Program.
- Manage the launch and ongoing management of the insurance program.
- Develop policy forms, rates, and underwriting guidelines from scratch.
- File rating plans and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product development or senior underwriting experience.
- Proven track record in developing policy forms and underwriting guidelines.
- Experience with compliance issues related to insurance products.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Excess Surplus Commercial Lines Program Underwriting.
- Familiarity with educational organizations and their insurance needs.
