About the position

The Insurance Underwriter for Environmental & Pollution is responsible for overseeing the development and expansion of Environmental Lines of Insurance, which includes various pollution-related risks. This role involves creating specialty products, building relationships with agents and brokers, and ensuring the profitability of the business through effective underwriting practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, create and underwrite specialty products.
• Develop relationships with agents and brokers.
• Attract and retain profitable business.
• Market products and services.
• Analyze potential coverage and limit requests and determine appropriate terms.
• Price business.
• Assess risk quality and compliance.
• Take appropriate loss prevention actions.
• Administer rating and underwriting processes, loss history reports, credit checks, outside inspections, loss control, etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2-5 years of experience in insurance underwriting, specifically in Environmental Pollution Liabilities or related fields.
