Responsibilities
- Verifies insurance coverage on patients.
- Notifies insurance companies of patient's admission and verifies that pre-certification has been obtained on elective procedures such as surgeries and diagnostic procedures.
- Estimates patient's portion and notifies them of deposit requirements.
- Documents information on SMS system.
- Upgrades patient's information when changes in insurance coverage occur.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of billing and collections and experience with insurances in healthcare preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
