About the position

The Intermediate Database Administrator at GDIT will support the Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. This role involves working under the Senior Database Administrator to manage and optimize database systems, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, while contributing to a diverse team focused on enhancing global network operations. The position emphasizes problem-solving, data analysis, and compliance with security standards, making a significant impact on client missions and the overall effectiveness of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Resolve problems associated with SQL server and SharePoint system data.
• Gather data, design formats, and create or adjust programs to generate reports while documenting all changes.
• Analyze and troubleshoot software database systems and performance issues, documenting actions taken.
• Prioritize needs effectively and satisfy them in a timely manner.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
• Participate in special projects as required.
• Review quarterly Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), remediate open vulnerabilities, and report compliance.
• Knowledge of server administration and network connectivity.

Requirements

• 3+ years of related experience in database administration and systems analysis.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent years of experience.
• 8570 certification: IAT Level II Certification (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP).
• Secret DoD Security Clearance required.
• Computing environment certificate in Microsoft Windows (MCP) or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
