About the position

The Intermediate Database Administrator at GDIT will support the Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. This role involves working under the guidance of a Senior Database Administrator to manage and optimize database systems, ensuring data integrity and performance. The position focuses on resolving issues related to SQL server and SharePoint, creating and adjusting programs for reporting, and maintaining compliance with security standards.

Responsibilities

• Resolve problems associated with SQL server and SharePoint system data.
• Gather data, design formats, and create new programs or adjust existing programs as needed to create reports while documenting all changes.
• Analyze and troubleshoot software database systems and performance problems and accurately document actions taken.
• Effectively prioritize needs and satisfy those needs in a timely manner.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
• Participate in special projects as required.
• Review quarterly Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), remediate open vulnerabilities and report compliance.
• Knowledge of server administration and network connectivity.

Requirements

• Intermediate experience as a Database Administrator.
• Proficiency in SQL server and SharePoint systems.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for database systems.
• Ability to document changes and actions taken accurately.
• Knowledge of server administration and network connectivity.
