About the position

The Intact Specialist at Brightpoint plays a vital role in the child welfare team, focusing on keeping children safe and supporting families through intensive, trauma-informed case management services. This position involves working collaboratively with families at risk of having their children removed from the home, utilizing an evidence-informed model to help families achieve their goals. The role includes assessing family needs, establishing relationships with service providers, monitoring progress, and providing testimony in court. Responsibilities

• Provide intensive, trauma-informed case management services to families at risk of child removal.
• Assess the needs of children and families and help plan appropriate services.
• Establish collaborative relationships with service providers and institutions.
• Monitor family progress towards their goals and provide necessary support.
• Provide testimony in the Juvenile Court System regarding the best interests of children and families.
• Work collaboratively with a reduced case load of families with allegations of abuse or neglect.
• Support families assigned to Advanced and Lead Specialists.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a closely related field required.
• Child Welfare Employee License (CWEL), Child Endangerment Risk Assessment Protocol (CERAP), and Child Abuse and Neglect (CANS) certification required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Experience providing collaborative, strength-based services to children and families preferred.
• Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
