About the position
The Intake Caseworker is responsible for managing the intake process for clients, ensuring effective communication and documentation from pre-admission to discharge. This role serves as a key point of contact for families and referral sources, emphasizing customer satisfaction and coordination of services.
Responsibilities
- Model and uphold high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Process referral calls promptly to minimize wait times for assessments.
- Coordinate with referral sources and families to schedule intake assessments.
- Facilitate communication with internal and external customers regarding admissions.
- Provide program tours as necessary.
- Maintain client lists and prepare referral and management reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- Experience with acute emotionally challenged children or adolescents preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
