The Intake Coordinator/Customer Service Associate at Flathead Food Bank plays a crucial role in assisting families through the intake process for food assistance programs. This position serves as the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring a compassionate and efficient experience while maintaining accurate client records and promoting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist families through the intake processes with compassion and efficiency.
• Sign clients up and check them in using Sox Box software.
• Ensure all client paperwork is filled out correctly and completely.
• Verify client eligibility and complete necessary documentation for food assistance programs.
• Create a supportive and inclusive environment for customers.
• Answer phones and communicate efficiently with clients, staff, and partners.
• Promote a welcoming and safe shopping environment.
• Assist in stocking pantry shelves as needed.
• Receive and record community food donations.
• Build and maintain client relationships.
• Participate in training sessions and staff meetings.

Requirements

• Strong MS Word and Excel skills.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• 1 year of medical terminology experience (preferred).
• 1 year of computer skills (required).
• Ability to interact with diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SOX software (preferred).
