About the position

The Intake Operator position at Kraft Heinz is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the milk and cream intake area. This role involves loading and unloading trucks and tankers, ensuring product quality, and adhering to sanitation requirements. The operator will work in a team environment and support various business systems while maintaining a focus on safety and detail.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload bulk trucks and tankers.
  • Supply necessary ingredients to the 4th floor Processing.
  • Complete documentation properly such as weight slips and bills of lading.
  • Perform required tests associated with raw materials.
  • Monitor and communicate any process or product abnormalities to supervisors.
  • Conduct sanitation duties for the Intake area as needed.
  • Properly handle and use chemicals for sanitation processes.
  • Perform analysis of cleaner strengths on soaps and sanitizers used in sanitation.
  • Conduct and document all quality checks as defined by Kraft Beaver Dam policies.
  • Manage the Ultra-filtration system including filter changing and sanitation.
  • Handle the CIP Non-fat dry milk process on the 2nd floor.
  • Perform Good Sanitation Practices (GSP's) when handling equipment.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
  • Troubleshoot issues within the intake area and make timely decisions to solve problems.
  • Monitor security cameras as needed to meet company policies.
  • Complete all observations and trainings timely as scheduled.
  • Support Plant Quality Systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Materials Manager or Utility Intake Employee.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Class D license.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and utilize safe lifting practices for over 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work extended hours, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of process flow of raw materials.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
  • Familiarity with sanitation processes and chemical handling.
