River Vista Behavioral Health sits along the bluffs overlooking the San Joaquin River, this brand new, 128-bed facility, will provide high-quality and advanced behavioral health services to residents and visitors in the Central Valley. The new hospital will employ more than 250 people, including clinicians, nurses, mental health technicians, support staff and administration. We are currently seeking a forward thinking and compassionate Intake/Admissions RN to be part of our Intake Department. The Admissions R.N. is responsible for coordination of all admissions processes and serves as liaison to referral sources, families, payors, physicians, and hospital personnel involved with each admission. The Admissions RN is responsible for processing of inquiry and referral calls and responds to request for hospital and program information, assessment, and possible admission. Responsibilities also include verifying insurance, triaging patients, completing assessments, entering calls and admissions in computer and completing all admission paperwork with patient. The Admissions R.N. is responsible for effectively communicating with patients, physicians, staff, referral sources and managed care organizations to obtain precertification.
