About the position

The Integrated ARMHS Practitioner role at People Incorporated Mental Health Services involves providing direct rehabilitative mental health services to clients, focusing on enhancing their psychiatric stability, social competencies, and independent living skills. The position emphasizes a person-centered approach, requiring practitioners to engage clients actively in their recovery process through assessments, education, and individualized care plans. The role is part of a team that supports individuals with mental illness, ensuring access to comprehensive behavioral health care within a community-based setting.

Responsibilities

  • Engage clients in their mental health recovery using person-centered principles.
  • Facilitate and conduct individual services addressing various client needs and health concerns.
  • Provide collateral information for nursing assessments and gather information for treatment planning.
  • Document client interactions and interventions in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation for clients experiencing mental health symptoms.
  • Coordinate services with other community providers to meet client needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 2,000 hours of experience in mental health services, or 4,000 hours of experience with mental illness, or a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science with relevant practicum experience.
  • For Mental Health Practitioner II: Bachelor's degree in behavioral science with 4,000 hours of experience, or a Master's degree in a related field, or 10,000 hours of experience in mental health services.

Nice-to-haves

  • Enrollment in an accredited Master's program in behavioral science or related field.
  • 2,000 hours of supervised experience in mental health services.
