About the position
The Integrated Conflict Management System (ICMS) Facilitator plays a crucial role in the Minnesota Department of Human Services by serving as a trainer and facilitator for the integrated conflict resolution system. This position focuses on addressing destructive forms of conflict and promoting constructive conflict management practices within the department. The facilitator is responsible for coordinating and delivering employee development projects aimed at enhancing conflict competence among staff, thereby supporting the overall mission of the department to improve the well-being and quality of life for all Minnesotans.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trainer and facilitator for the Integrated Conflict Management System (ICMS).
- Respond to destructive forms of conflict and promote constructive conflict management practices.
- Coordinate and deliver ICMS employee development projects.
- Conduct conflict facilitation services and evaluate procedural problems.
- Apply conflict management principles in organizational settings.
Requirements
- Two years of expert experience in training and conflict management principles (for State Program Administrator Senior).
- Bachelor's degree in peace and conflict studies, conflict resolution, psychology, or a related field (for both positions).
- One year of experience in conflict management training (for State Program Administrator Senior).
- Three years of expert experience in training and conflict management principles (for State Program Administrator Coordinator).
- Two years of experience in conflict management training (for State Program Administrator Coordinator).
- Practical experience applying conflict management principles in an organization.
