About the position

The Integrated Health Care Manager for the Commercial Prescription Drug Plan & Special Projects is a strategic and operational role focused on managing health care benefits and driving innovation within the organization. This position requires interaction with high-level management and union leaders, emphasizing the need for strong business acumen and the ability to navigate a rapidly evolving health care landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Manage prescription drug benefits for represented and non-represented employees and retirees.
  • Oversee childcare and eldercare support and family building benefits for non-represented employees.
  • Lead the annual strategic planning process for the health care department, providing updates to executive leadership.
  • Drive innovation in delivery models by leveraging knowledge of health care policies and competitive landscape.
  • Demonstrate vendor management skills and negotiate complex agreements.
  • Adapt to changes in the health care delivery system and political environment.
  • Utilize problem-solving and negotiation skills to gain buy-in from management, employees, and union leadership.
  • Manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a clear vision for health care programs.
  • Partner with other business areas to ensure workflow processes and inter-dependencies are addressed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in the health care industry or related field, with increasing responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to drive change using data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with staff and senior management.
  • Experience working with labor unions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in business administration, human resources, labor relations, or health care administration.
