About the position

SAIC is seeking a PNT Integrated Mission Delta (IMD) Systems Engineer to join the PNT Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role involves providing specialized engineering, analysis, planning, and execution support for Global Positioning System (GPS) Programs of Record and the PNT Enterprise. The engineer will perform systems engineering analyses, coordinate technical efforts, and engage with government customers and stakeholders to ensure mission readiness and compliance with requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform systems engineering analyses, technical reviews, and assessments.
  • Coordinate analyses efforts, methods, and techniques.
  • Develop products and briefings for government customers and stakeholders.
  • Identify derived requirements from government specifications and interface control documents.
  • Assist in translating requirements into usable information for the IMD Chief Engineer and staff.
  • Support the IMD Chief Engineer in defining, capturing, validating, and maintaining technical requirements.
  • Prioritize capability delivery, schedule, and cost risks throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Maintain control and provide engineering recommendations on all development, sustainment, and operations projects.
  • Facilitate discussions between principal stakeholders to resolve engineering challenges.
  • Conduct analyses to trace IMD efforts to capabilities, functions, and requirements.
  • Generate documentation to demonstrate compliance with requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 or more years of previous systems engineering experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Experience in military and/or space systems operations, transition to operations, acquisition, and sustainment.
  • Relevant experience conducting space systems engineering analyses, technical reviews, and assessments.
  • Experience in deriving requirements from government specifications and interface control documents.
  • Experience in defining, capturing, validating, and maintaining technical requirements for space systems.
  • Understanding of developing risk mitigation courses of action and assessing impacts of risks for space systems.
  • Experience in providing engineering recommendations to the government on development and operations projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with Air Force/Space Force/DoD customers in an acquisition or operational environment.
  • Experience with LiveLink.
  • Experience with MS365 SharePoint Applications.
