About the position

The Integrated Research Product Management and Technical Team Support role at Venesco LLC involves providing program management expertise to support the Human Performance Research portfolio for the Airman Systems Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance health readiness through research and technology evaluation in biomedical fields. The contractor will assist in project management, data analysis, and technical documentation to support the Defense Health Program's medical research mission.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program management expertise to support day-to-day operations within the medical funded Human Performance Research portfolio.
  • Apply acquisition and program management principles to assist program and project accomplishment through the AFRL project life cycle.
  • Implement administrative and monitoring support tools for daily operations associated with medical R&D projects.
  • Collect, analyze, and appraise acquisition data to improve acquisition effectiveness and compliance.
  • Assist in the development of strategic and tactical acquisition planning, including scope, cost, schedule, and performance parameters.
  • Identify and document programmatic risks and maintain a risk database for the R&D portfolio.
  • Assist in developing contracting activities required for project contract awards, including preparing statements of work and supporting documents.
  • Utilize budget and financial data to analyze and generate reports and program documentation.
  • Provide support at executive levels and participate in portfolio reviews, conferences, and meetings.
  • Develop and write technical documentation and briefings for higher-level leadership.
  • Work with a team to collect and analyze project data relevant to program execution and reporting.
  • Manage research projects and provide program management direction across multiple contracted research efforts.
  • Provide technical direction to other members of the integrated research product staff.
  • Ensure problems/issues are clearly defined and corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Perform tasks with proficiency in Microsoft software programs to support project reporting and management oversight.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational, management, and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration/management, business systems, project management, finance, systems engineering, computer engineering, information systems, or computer science.
  • DAWIA career field certification (APDP Level I or higher) in Program Management or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • At least 5 years of program/project management experience in a Department of Defense (DoD) work environment, or 15 years of experience managing project strategy development, budget, cost, schedule, performance, and product delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience with project planning, contract strategy development, and performance assessment.
  • Experience in developing and writing technical documentation and briefings for higher-level leadership.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in business administration/management, business systems, project management, finance, systems engineering, computer engineering, information systems, or computer science.
  • Experience working in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) work environment.
