As an Integrated Technology Engineer at AM/NS Calvert, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the implementation and availability of advanced quality product management tools, such as the Global Product Quality System (GPQS) and the Coil Grading Surface Inspection System (CGSIS). This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. You will be part of a dynamic team that is committed to pushing the boundaries of technology in steelmaking, contributing to the development of innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers and the industry at large. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably with a focus on Industrial, Metallurgy, Material, or Information Systems, or a combination of relevant education and experience. A minimum of three years of experience with product quality management tools and measurement devices is essential. You should have a solid understanding of data analysis using applications like Minitab and reporting tools such as PowerBI, as well as a strong grasp of automation relational databases. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and familiarity with databases like SQL are also required. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding process parameters and signals that affect product quality from the slab casting process to galvanizing lines. You will work closely with mill quality and technology teams to implement and improve product quality parameters for customer acceptance. Additionally, you will collaborate with Global R&D and engage in technical exchanges with other ArcelorMittal facilities to drive continuous improvement in product quality management tools. Your ability to create effective learning materials and implement tools for end users will be key to your success in this position.
