About the position

The Integration (ACNT) Field Technician at Lockheed Martin will provide maintenance support for AEGIS Computer and Display Systems aboard AEGIS Destroyers and Cruisers. This role involves working closely with government and contractor organizations to address hardware, software, and network challenges, as well as training ship personnel on new AEGIS equipment. The position requires flexibility in work hours, including shift work and potential travel to various locations for assessments and installations.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance support for AEGIS Computer and Display Systems aboard AEGIS Destroyers and Cruisers.
• Collaborate with government, ship repair, and contractor organizations to resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Provide training to ship personnel on the operation and maintenance of AEGIS equipment.
• Conduct assessments and support fleet emergent requirements and equipment installation events.
• Work in confined spaces and climb ladders and steep stairs as required.

Requirements

• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Experience with UNIX-based open architecture and its application to the U.S. NAVY Aegis Computing Infrastructure.
• Knowledge of testing fiber optics cables and Ethernet LAN technology.
• Understanding of US Navy preventive and corrective maintenance and proficiency in reading technical documents.
• Familiarity with hardware, software, and network test equipment used to evaluate operational failures.
• Experience in AEGIS Combat Systems as an AEGIS Computer/Display/ACNT technician with knowledge of Baseline 6.3, 7.1, 7.1R, ACB08, and/or BL9.

Nice-to-haves

• Material Logistics / Kitting experience for customer deliveries.
• Knowledge of UYQ-70 Display equipment, ORTS MK 9 Mod 1 or DTS-1, LAN architecture, routers, CEC, BFTT, and COTS-based processing systems.
• Ability to conduct fiber optic light loss measurements and troubleshoot fiber optics using Navy test equipment.
• Understanding of LINUX/UNIX based program commands and LAN theory.
