About the position

The Integration and Test Engineer at L3Harris is responsible for supporting the setup, configuration, and documentation of hardware and software systems under test. This role involves developing cost-effective testing procedures, documenting testing issues, and presenting test strategies to both internal and external customers. The position is integral to ensuring the reliability and performance of technology solutions in the defense industry.

Responsibilities

  • Support the set-up, configuration, and documentation of hardware and software systems under test.
  • Support design, development, and implementation of cost-effective procedures for testing and troubleshooting of components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and systems.
  • Support development of test plans, test procedures, requirements traceability, test reports, test flow, and test case design and implementation.
  • Document testing issues and failures and perform analysis of test results.
  • Support hardware and test software design, integration, test, and maintenance of laboratory and specialized end item test equipment.
  • Support formal systems acceptance testing activities.
  • Present test strategies, plans, and results to internal and external customers.
  • Support failure investigation activities and failure review board (FRB) meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields.
  • Operation of laboratory test equipment (specifically RF equipment).
  • Architectural design of Unit Under Test (UUT) Special Test Equipment (STE).
  • C++, Python, LabView software coding experience.
  • Electronics Troubleshooting skills and understanding of digital, analog, and RF electronic circuitry.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering documents, schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Proficiency in the use of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • 0 to 1 years of experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • RF engineering knowledge of aerospace systems.
  • Automated test software and scripting operation of Commercial-Off-the-Shelf equipment.
  • Electrical and Mechanical design of Unit Under Test (UUT) Special Test Equipment (STE).
  • Power supply systems and antenna design knowledge.
  • System Test Requirements allocation, analysis, and verification.
  • Presentation and communication skills (verbal/written/visual).
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to meet critical deadlines.
  • DoD Secret Clearance.
  • GPA of 3.0 or greater.
