About the position

As a software Integration and Test (I&T) engineer at CACI, you will be an integral part of a team dedicated to developing and maintaining software applications that encompass user interfaces, RESTful services, and various database technologies. Your work will focus on the ingestion of big data, as well as the visualization and analysis of that data. You will perform integration and test activities, collaborating closely with the development team to ensure that software components are designed, integrated, tested, and functioning successfully. This role is crucial in ensuring that the software meets the high standards required for our nation's critical missions. In this position, you will work with the development team to design software use cases and integrate developed software into a larger system. You will validate the software developed by the team and define the integration and test approaches and methodologies. Your responsibilities will include integrating developed software with existing and external software components, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and defining and documenting test procedures. You will also be responsible for developing automated tests, executing tests, evaluating and documenting test results, assisting with software deployment, and monitoring the performance of running software to identify potential issues before they occur. Supporting and maintaining running software will also be part of your duties, ensuring that our systems remain operational and effective. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills and technologies. You will be expected to run software, examine logs, identify issues, and suggest areas for investigation or possible fixes. Your ability to develop scripts, utilities, and other code to automate integration and test tasks will be essential in streamlining our processes and improving efficiency.

Requirements

  • Software Integration and Test experience.
  • Able to run software, examine logs, identify issues, and suggest areas for investigation or possible fixes.
  • Development of scripts, utilities, and other code to automate integration and test tasks.
  • Ability to develop automated tests.
  • Able to interpret test results.
  • Familiarity with Linux.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and new technologies.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Certifications such as Security+ or CISSP, or willing to attain them.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with SIGINT processing systems.
  • Working in Agile and DevOps / DevSecOps processes.
  • Basic understanding of software code, especially Java.
  • Familiarity with Graphana / Kibana for metric display.
  • Familiarity with micro-service architectures.
  • Familiarity with software components such as Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, ArgoCD, RabbitMQ.
  • Familiarity with development tools such as Git / Bitbucket, Confluence, Jira, Jenkins.
  • Working in Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment.
