About the position

The Integration Engineer Analyst will be responsible for validating Electronic Control Units (ECUs) as part of a whole vehicle package before they are released to the broader project team for testing. This role involves coordinating with module responsible engineers, managing configuration files, providing technical support, and ensuring proper vehicle setup for testing. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and strong communication skills to facilitate integration and support project milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Release planning and smoke test of software combinations, providing release recommendations (release OK/NOK).
  • Configuration management by providing necessary configuration files required for testing (ZDC; ODX, OCU data set).
  • Providing Level 1 technical support for test teams.
  • Distributing releases at fixed dates via email and in Confluence.
  • Maintaining vehicle hardware and test resources in alignment with global project teams, including swapping ECUs and ensuring expected tracing capabilities (CAN, ETH, MLP, OCU, serial2).
  • Ensuring correct vehicle setup, including hardware and software versioning according to build and test management releases.
  • Ensuring error-free test resource setup (no DTCs).
  • Configuring test resources for project events and milestone evaluations.
  • Tracking and reporting of test resources to the project team.
  • Preparing and supporting test drives for milestone events in the US and Canada.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent required.
  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering desired.
  • Experience with automotive infotainment control module software development and feature design.
  • Experience in connected services and connected application development.
  • Experience with cloud development and authentication.
  • Experience regarding the integration of multiple control units in an automotive system.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience bringing software functions to market.
  • Experience integrating new functionalities into a connected environment.
  • Experience with Volkswagen infotainment control modules.
  • Understanding of vehicle communication networks.
  • German skills written and verbal are advantageous.
